In The vineyards of World Wines Ltd. are situated in the Malka Maritza area in proximity of the town of Septemvri. They spread over 50 hectares of land along the Maritza River valley. The latest methods in modern vine growing have been applied in their planting and cultivation. The place has a continental climate and ideal southerly exposure. Eighty percent of the wine produced in this area is destined for export to Europe, the USA and Japan, to supply prestigious hotels and restaurants there. Wines under the trademarks Emporion, Maritza Valley and Chateau Septemvri are produced there. Organic farming technologies are only used in the grape cultivation. Vine varieties growing best on rich alluvial soil in this region have only been selected. Intensive planting is applied - 380 vines per decree (0.1 hectare) - with a limited yield of 800 kg per decree. The vine planting material has been selected from the French varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and traditional Bulgarian varieties growing in this region only like Mavrud and Bouquet (Kondarev branch). Modern agricultural techniques and equipment are only used in the vineyard cultivation. The ruins of the only continental ancient Greek emporium, Emporion Pistiros, dated from the 5th - 4th century B.C., are to be seen in proximity of the vineyards of World Wines Ltd. This emporium had played an enormous role under the reign of the Thracian ruler Kotis. A granite slab with an ancient Greek inscription beginning with the words: "I, God Dionysus..." was found during the excavations. The inscription has to do with the ancient law which provided for the existence of emporiums. Southeast of the emporium are the ruins of the ancient Roman travel station Bonna Maniso.
